About Us

Stubby Shrubs is a new nursery, based in rural Lincolnshire.  Our aim is to bring strong healthy plants to both beginners and seasoned gardeners, We’ll help make your space greener. Our range of plants is constantly increasing and changing, depending upon the season.

Having trained as a florist, I took a different career direction and I spent about 25 years in the Healthcare Sector.  However, I realised I needed to pursue my love of all things gardening and plants, took a deep breath, and a leap of faith.  I became qualified in garden design and also worked in a commercial  garden centre before deciding to open Stubby Shrubs. Still in its infancy, we are currently building our stock levels and ranges to enable us to offer a diverse selection of plants for your gardens.

Doing our bit for the planet is extremely important to us and our aim is to be as sustainable as possible.  Where appropriate, we only use peat free compost and any plastic packaging we use has been recycled and is fully recyclable.  Our plants are grown in the nursery using plastic plant pots, but to enable us to use these repeatedly, instead of adding to the plastic problem,  we post the  majority of our plants as either roots, plugs, bulbs or in peat free biodegradable pots. All our prices include P&P.
